Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Today, we want to share Jocelyn and Jeff’s Northern California engagement session with you all. Jocelyn and Jeff are both active duty sergeants working at the Beale AFB, and when they booked us for their wedding, they told us that they spend a lot of time on base and that’s also where they met each other. So Darren and I thought it would be perfect to document their love story on base.
We first started the session at the field where the SR-71 Blackbird was stationed at and we took a few photos of Jocelyn and Jeff still in their military uniform. It was pretty sunny at the time, but the lighting was so beautiful right under the aircraft. The ground created this natural reflector and bounced the light back onto their faces. It was perfect!
Jocelyn and Jeff then went back home on base to change, and we did the rest of the engagement session at Ryden Park. It’s such a gorgeous place with a bridge that overlooks a stream, and there are picnic areas for military families. That sunset light was absolutely gorgeous, and we couldn’t have picked a better day for the shoot.
