We absolutely love Nancy and Nick’s Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. They had so many great moments, and although it was the longest wedding we have every photographed, the 15 hours went by soooo fast!
Nancy and Nick chose Casa Real because they wanted their wedding at a winery that could host their 300+ guest count, but for their getting ready they chose Hotel Vitale in the city of San Francisco.
Nancy’s favorite color is mint green and she found this Minted invitation suite that had the perfect design and color scheme. The gorgeous diamond engagement ring and wedding bands were from La Bijouterie and Blue Nile!
The gorgeous wedding dress was by Augusta Jones. Nancy originally found the dress when she went dress shopping with her mom. In fact, her mom was the one who initially saw the dress! She loved the lace back and also the crystal beading on the dress. She liked that it did not carry all the way through the dress.
Emily Nguyen of Faces by Emily was referred to Nancy by her maid of honor and another bridesmaid who had worked with her before. Emily is so easy going and they had fun at the trial so Nancy booked her for the wedding!
The lovely bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo dresses in Spearmint. It took a while for Nancy to decide on their dresses – at one point she was thinking all different shades of pastel, or different shades of green. She even had about 10 different shades of green and pastel lined up, trying to decide which ones but glad she finally went with all one shade and style!!
Nancy’s mom is a floral designer herself, and she and her friend did all of the florals for the wedding. They were absolutely gorgeous!
Nancy’s shoes were by Michael Kors. She found them when she went shopping with Nick’s mom. She was looking for gold sparkly shoes and came across these ones when they were in Reno!
Nancy and Nick opted for a first look before their wedding. It’s always one of our favorite segments of the wedding day when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. The emotions, the tears of joy and laughter make it all worthwhile! The bridal suite that they got ready at has a lovely terrace that overlooks the Embarcadero, and it’s the perfect place to set up their first look!
After the first look, we took the entire bridal party to Pier 7 and Embarcadero for some portraits before we headed over to Casa Real.
Besides the gorgeous view of the Bay facing East, Pier 7 also directly faces the Transamerica building to the West. It is one of the most popular piers for photos!
In the back of this beautiful portrait is the Hornblower’s “San Francisco Belle” Paddlewheel Boat!
Crossing and walking on the streets of San Francisco is always an adventure!
Nancy wanted to take photos with the famous street cars on Embarcadero:
It’s time to head over to Casa Real for the ceremony and reception!
The outdoor ceremony was setup in the courtyard:
Nancy’s dad just adored her and we love how he looked at her when they walked down the aisle together!
We love it when our clients use the photos from their engagement session with us for their guest sign-in book:
The 12’x12′ beaded crystals chandelier over the dance floor by Fantasy Sound was absolutely amazing, and we love the blush and gold decor for the wedding reception. Gold chivari chairs always look so elegant!
Casa Real has a ramen bar for late-night snack options. It was such a huge hit amongst all the wedding guests! All the noodles and condiments such as eggs, veggies and meats are already prepared in the rice bowls, all you have to do is choose the different broth and voila!
Nancy and Nick also had ice-cream sandwich from Icebox for those guests who have a sweet tooth! They found Icebox online, but they went to their store to try their flavors and liked that they gave their guests options of ice cream flavor as well as macaron flavors. Nancy really wanted durian ice cream to be one of the choices and although they typically do not provide that, they made the flavor for them to try and they loved it! It was such a hit at the wedding! Of course they also had to have the mint flavor – Nancy’s favorite color!
